Well, I've been working on my website for a while now and I finally got it loaded up. Take a look if you like. It's still a work in progress and I need to get that picture off the front page soon, I know. Also I'm holding off till I finish this batch to get some better pictures of the guitars as well.

John,

Good job on the website, I think you are doing a fine job. I did not see any mention about the type of finish you are using. Did I miss it? You need some testimonials too!

Looks good John. Is that myrtle b&s behind the Koa on the cover page pic?

Nice job John!

Mine is in progress finally. Just got a first look at it today. My wife and I will be in the process of editing the content for the next couple of days and then it should be viewable to the rest of the world.

Hope mine looks as good as yours does....

I like it John. You did a great job! I agree with Jeff, you will need some testimonials. If you send me one of your guitars I promise I'll give you a testimonial!

John, nice job. How much did it cost you to build that shop?

Can I make one suggestion? I was looking at your background page, and I was admiring the guitar right there - thought it had snakewood bindings on it. I clicked on view image since clicking on the image didn't do anything, and to my surprise that is a nice large picture of a gorgeous instrument. Make sure people can click on it! Koa bindings I guess? Looks beautiful.

I really like small guitars.jfrench38435.7295601852

John,

Great site. It's complete, easy to navigate, and really does a good job of showing your guitars.

I really like your idea of putting a support in for the strap attachment instead of drilling into the neck.

The only improvements that I would suggest is that captions in the photo gallery would be nice, and you need a link to the OLF somewhere

You do some really nice work. You'd better brace yourself for that big backlog of orders you're going to have after Healdsburg.

Dittos on the strap button area. I also like the workboard w/adjustable pegs. I've been considering a design for a side bending jig in a similar fashion.

Congratulations on a fine job on the website, John! It's very easy to navigate and full of interesting items to explore. I was particularly interested in the gallery until I came accross the guy in the red shirt with 5 thumbs on his left hand.

I didn't recognize the shop...it was cleaner than Bruce's!

Looking forward to seeing you again soon. Best of luck!

John How, nice and clean, does the job. I like it.

Pictures are huge even though small. Quality may be a bit high for the web. It took a minute to load the first page. Keep it up, looking good.

You are not the only one who has picture size difficulties, but web shots can still look great with lower resolution. Then make hi-res images clickable if folks want to surf them.

Keep it up, when I get more time I'll look some more.

John, great looking site. And, I love that shop of yours. If guitar building doesn't work out, you could always go into dairy farming.

If I could make a request, it would be for some text, some explanations w/ each of those pix--especially in the gallery section. More info for us curious-minded folk.

Good job,
Steve

Thanks very much guys for your compliments and your suggestions. Of course it is a work in progress so I am still working it. I have just updated the gallery with Popup type enlargements. Right now all the Popups come up at the same size and I'm trying to figure out a way to have the window size based on the photo size. and I want to do my usual click the pic and it goes away in each popup so they are easy to get rid of.

jfrench and Steve and all, thanks for the compliments on my shop, It's 24'x36' built on a 12' grid, it's a pole barn. I plan to build a loft over the center section one of these days to house a small home recording studio but who knows if that will ever happen before the arthritis sets in. I am working on adding some text information to the site as well but writing was never my favorite thing to do.

Yeah I'm gonna work over the text a little more. Roy O gave me a very good critique and pointed out some grammer errors and such so I will be editing it shortley and putting in some discriptions.
